Merry Christmas!

Today is the celebration of the Christian myth of the birth of Jesus the Divine Child. The Divine Child is an archetypal figure in myth and psychology. If we tend to him properly, he can help integrate our psyches and enhance our spirituality. The Christmas holiday prompts us to do so. The child archetype is an emanation from the collective unconscious, meaning that “divine” child figures arise from it, in miraculous births. The conception and birth of the Divine Child represent the incarnation of the divine within ourselves. It is no surprise it comes with the Winter Solstice and The New Year. A time of rebirth and new possibilities. I don’t know about you, but I feel that.
